Honest Kids Juice Boxes, A Food Review

Image
Honest Kids, from the makers of Honest Tea, is a line of organic juice drinks certified by Pennsylvania Certified Organic. The flavors of juice boxes under this brand I have for review today are Appley Ever After , Berry Good Lemonade , Goodness Grapeness and Super Fruit Punch . Please keep in mind that taste in general, and maybe even more so my taste (considering I'm still a picky eater in spite of trying to outgrow it), is HIGHLY subjective. Really, the best way to know if you'll like it is to try it yourself, but I hope this brief article finds people interested and helps with the choice of whether or not to. Flavor      Overall, the taste is pretty watered down - at least in comparison to the juice I'm used to drinking, which is 100% fruit juice with no added sugar. Individually, the flavors also strike me as a little odd. Appley Ever After tastes like apple, but a little more along the lines of sour apple candy.   Berry Good Lemona...

2021 ACNH Summer Outfit Collection: Part 1

Image
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a lotta clothing items, and I mean a lotta clothing items. It's glorious, though sometimes the choices can be a bit overwhelming. I decided it might be fun to take advantage of the large collection of apparel I have in the game (because I tend to buy whole sets) to put together some suggestions for my fellows. I used VillagerDB to help me with the details, so you can get the exact pieces I used. Dishie, A Yarn Review

Image
The colors I've used so far.       Made of 100% cotton, Dishie is a yarn sold by KnitPicks and sister site WeCrochet . It comes in solids, multis, and twists, offering a fairly wide variety of colorways to work with. According to both website's descriptions, it's designed for dishcloths among other things- meant to last long even with rigorous daily use. Each skein is 190 yards (or right about 173.7 meters), which in my experience is quite decent for the price. In addition, some of the solids are sold in the form of 760 yard (~694.9 meter) cones!   Texture      One of my favorite things about Dishie is how soft it is. It's very pleasant to work with, and it glides easily over my aluminum crochet hooks as well as working well on my laminated wood needles. It is a little slippery, so I don't entirely trust it for something like single-strand fringe, but it's not difficult to deal with that. All these things in mind, I think it would make for good ...

A Summary of Goals and Aspirations

Image
I realized, at some point after my Instagram was established, that I couldn't use it to write thorough reviews or patterns. This wasn't really a problem per say, but it did kind of cut back on the possibilities. I've never been a professional writer, nor even aspired to be one, but I occasionally have an idea or experience I think would be useful to others - and of course, want to share it. I (probably) have enough writing skill to get those things across (given time and effort) so I decided I should try my hand at blogging. It took some time to get ready for release, but here we are with my mission statement!      The goal of this blog is to share information. I have a fair number of hobbies, I'm likely to collect more as time goes on, and I'd like to try and help others with what I pick up where possible. As it is, most of the posts are likely to be about crochet and knit, and related products like yarn, hooks, or needles. I definitely want to get into st...
