2021 ACNH Summer Outfit Collection: Part 1

    Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a lotta clothing items, and I mean a lotta clothing items. It's glorious, though sometimes the choices can be a bit overwhelming. I decided it might be fun to take advantage of the large collection of apparel I have in the game (because I tend to buy whole sets) to put together some suggestions for my fellows. I used VillagerDB to help me with the details, so you can get the exact pieces I used. Enjoy!

 

A Common Yellow Kimono

    I've found VillagerDB handy for price checking for trades online (because man I can't stand price gouging) as well as checking to see if there are other items in a set I've found a piece or two of. It's great for finding stuff to coordinate rooms with too. I hope you like this first half of the "collection", and are at least a little inspired by it.

Cake winders are handy for taking care of leftovers, once you work partly through a skein or cone.       Comprised of 100% cotton, Peaches and Creme Original is a worsted weight [4] yarn belonging under the Yarnspirations umbrella, additionally sold at Walmart and Joann's. It comes in a fair (albeit kind of small) range of colorways - solids and "ombrés" - in two sizes available for purchase. Regular skeins of solids and ombrés are 120 (109m) and 95 (86m) yards respectively, whereas the cones are 674 yards (616m) across the board.    Texture       While it isn't the softest, this yarn does have a nice cottony feel to it. It makes for good face scrubs, if you prefer a milder texture, and can be combined with scrubby yarns to tone them down a little. Wool of the Andes Worsted, A Yarn Review

  Pictured above is Delft Heather and Coal, image modified to try to remove yellow lighting tint.        Wool of the Andes Worsted is a line carried by KnitPicks and sister site WeCrochet , made of 100% Peruvian Highland wool. It comes in a large array of colors (over 90 as of writing this review), some solids and others with a heathered effect. Both of these visual textures come in skeins at 110 yards (100.5 meters)/50 grams (1.76 ounces) for the same price.       Additionally, Wool of the Andes comes in sport, bulky, superwash worsted, superwash bulky, and a worsted tweed line (Peruvian Wool and Donegal Tweed) - several of those variants also being sold in an undyed version (called Bare on the website).   Texture      Unlike what seems to be the general expectation of wool, this has been fairly soft in my experience.
